At Wellington Education Group, we not only want to help our students get qualified and learn all the skills and knowledge they need, but we also want to empower students for career success beyond the classroom!
Last Thursday afternoon, we hosted our first ever Get Job Ready Workshop, which was entirely free for all our WEG students 🎉 Students joined us for an hour packed with practical advice, free resources and templates, and plenty of actionable tips to help them take the next step in their career journeys.
We were joined by Eduardo and Ernesto from I Link You Australia, who shared invaluable insights on acing job interviews and how to start building professional networks. Their advice left everyone feeling inspired and better prepared for the daunting job market. We’re very grateful for their collaboration and expertise.
Our Director of Studies and ELICOS trainer, John Rusnak, also spoke to our students on crafting standout resumes and cover letters, and strategies for preparing for job interviews. We were also joined by our Early Childhood Education and Care trainer, Nina Barca, who spoke on how to get started on finding work placements in the childcare industry in Australia.
Our students had the chance to learn new things, engage in meaningful conversations about their career goals, and also enjoy some complimentary drinks and snacks 🍩🧃
